AECOM Marketing & Design Materials

I designed and developed a library of marketing materials for the Energy Operations & Maintenance division of AECOM, to improve presentations, brand awareness, and business development.

This problem was worth solving because this division of AECOM had no existing marketing materials nor had the skillset required to develop them. I taught myself to use Adobe Creative Suite and worked with internal stakeholders to develop materials and marketing campaigns.

Information Gathering

Work with internal stakeholders and SME’s to develop the copy and content to be incorporated into documents and communications.

Document Design

Use Adobe Creative Suite to design marketing materials and documents for the business development team.

  • Use AECOM branding standards to layout and design documents in InDesign including brochures, proposals, and bidding documents
  • Use Illustrator for designing additional graphics

Outcomes & Lessons Learned

While at AECOM I developed the majority of my design skills and program proficiency. I learned about communicating the importance of marketing to individuals in different roles, and presenting my work.

This position also provided me with opportunities to learn more about leadership and project management.
